About Johnny Abegg
Johnny Abegg is a former aspiring pro surfer turn filmmaker from Byron Bay in Australia. Originally from the cold waters of Tasmania, Abegg continues to surf his own path, giving away the competitive vest in 2005, to mark change with his debut film, the credit card fueled surf classic On Credit in 2005, then came the Zombie/Surf creep show of Bay of the Dead in 2006. "___" is titled "fill in the gap", an underground surf experiment in 2009, and the much anticipated film 2 Weeks for 2010 depicts Johnny's struggle of entering manhood and the endless questions of self questioning.
